The Norwood Resource Centre offers a vibrant environment with areas for reading, research and study.
Catalogue
The library catalogue allows students to identify a wide range of resources in various formats (text, audio visual, and internet) to support their studies and other interests. A constantly updated selection of excellent fiction and non-fiction resources are available, including a range of magazines.
Research
Thirty desktop computers and wireless network coverage enable students to access the school network, email, and the Internet for research within the Library. Some services are available from home and Compass, such as ‘clickview online’, which allows you to access over 3000 videos that support Norwood’s curriculum. Also accessible outside school is the Resource Centre website that contains research information specific to individual courses at Norwood and Wheelers eBooks that allows students to borrow electronic fiction novels.
Three qualified staff ensure that the students become information literate, developing skills which enable them to carry out research independently and effectively.
Hours
The Resource Centre is open from 8.15am until 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, including recess and lunchtime.
